The Opportunity: The Technical Specialist is responsible for management and quality assurance of SWAP Project activities at the assigned health facilities under the guidance of Project Manager. The Technical Specialist will be responsible for providing administrative, technical, and supervisory support to the assigned facility/implementation area. Key responsibilities will include but not limited to assist in baseline & end line assessment, management of capacity building initiatives for service providers on MNH following national and guideline, assist facility preparedness, support implementation of innovation/approach such as Vayu bCPAP, virtual HBB training, family centered care, and facilitate quality of care activities and collect/compile relevant data/information. The Technical Specialist will also support Project Manager for management of project budget and preparation of donor/organizational reports as required. S/he will maintain effective communications with key stakeholders at local level, logistics management, organize meetings/workshops, and maintain liaison with USAID’s Mamoni MNCSP colleagues. Additionally, s/he will build and maintain productive working relationships with district/sub-district level health and family planning managers.
